About the organizer

CEOCOR is a European committee studying all problems concerning corrosion and protection of pipes, mains and other buried, immersed or aerial metallic or non-metallic constructions destined to transport or storage various products, mainly drinking water, wastewater, gas and oil.

Established in 1956 the committee has its head-office in Brussels and her members belong to water, gas and oil supply companies, industries, universities and research centers in more than 15 countries.


Field of activities :

Commission 1 : Internal Corrosion & Water Systems. Materials and their Corrosion behavior, Corrosion mechanisms and corrosion behavior in the field, choice of materials, “non”-electric protective measures. This commission deals with the interaction between transported or stored water and metallic or cement based materials. Such interaction may lead to the deterioration of the materials themselves and/or deterioration in the qualities of the transported water.


Commission 2 : External Corrosion & Cathodic Protection. Current influenced Corrosion, Cathodic protection, stray currents, AC-Corrosion. This commission deals with external Corrosion and Cathodic Protection against corrosion, mainly for water, oil and gas pipelines and relevant infrastructures; AC an DC stray currents and electrical interferences are in the field of competences of this Commission.


For all sessions the simultaneous translation will be provided for the CEOCOR languages : English, German and French.
